SCRIPTURE OF THE
DAY: Romans
11:33-36
PSALM OF THE
WEEK: Psalm
95
HYMN OF THE
DAY: CH# 321
“Break Thou the Bread of Life” http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/b/t/bttblife.htm
VERSE OF THE
DAY: For
from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory
forever. Amen. Romans 11:36 NRSV
Praise God! We probably don’t
do that enough. Certainly, every worship service should be praise to
God. Our ministries, our meetings, even our building, should be praise to
God. How about your personal prayer life? Too often, we pray when we
“need something” or, to be more honest, when we “want something” from God.
Part of our prayer life should include prayers of praise. Some people find
this hard to do because we just aren’t in the habit of it. Actually, it is
quite easy. Just think how wonderful God is, all the things God has done
for you, all God has created, and all of God’s attributes. Now we just
focus on those things and praise God in prayer. These prayers then become
the easiest prayers to pray. When I go to prayer and have trouble
articulating what it is I want to say to God, I just start praising God in
prayer, and the Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words (Romans
8:26).
PRAYER: O Great God of
Glory; I praise you with all that I am. You are wonderful and merciful.
Your glory is beyond my understanding, yet you love me. May I praise you
all the days of my life until I get to praise you eternally.
Amen.
See you in Church
Sunday,
Pastor
Sandy
