SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY: Numbers
20:1-13
PSALM OF THE WEEK: Psalm
138
HYMN OF THE DAY: #622 “When the Poor Ones (Cuando el
Pobre)”
VERSE OF THE DAY: But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,
“Because you did not trust in me, to show my holiness before the eyes of the
Israelites, therefore you will not bring this assembly into the land I have
given them.”
Even Moses failed to trust God as much as he should
have. Even Moses paid the price for it. When God calls us, as a
church or as individuals, to do something that seems impossible, the temptation
is to do it “our way” instead. Then, when our way doesn’t produce the
results that God’s way would have, we say, “See, I knew it was
impossible.” We pay the price. God does call us to do impossible
missions. God uses the smallest churches to do the greatest things for
him. Anybody can do God’s will, even when it is seemingly impossible, or
sounds as ridiculous as telling a rock to give water. What is God calling
you to do today?
PRAYER: O God, to whom nothing is impossible, grant that
I may do your will no matter how impossible or incredible it may sound to
me. May you get the glory for everything we do.
Amen.
See you in Church Sunday,
Pastor
Sandy
