VERSE OF THE
DAY: Never
tire of doing what is right. 2 Thessalonians 3:13b
NIV
Sometimes it does seem that we can
get tired of doing what is right. It is often much easier to what is
wrong, or just “partially right”, than to do what is right. Often it seems
that the people who are doing wrong are the ones “getting ahead” or getting
rewarded. Even when we have to pay a price for doing what is right we
should do it for the Lord. It can be quite tiring to keep doing what is
right in the face of evil. Yet, we must persevere. We can keep going
because we have a “secret weapon” in this fight. We have the Holy Spirit
in us, renewing us, refreshing us, and keeping us going. That is how we
can keep doing what is right and never tire of doing it. Keep on doing
what you are for the Lord, for the Spirit within you will keep you
going.
PRAYER: O Good and
Gracious God, help me to always do good for you and to do the right things, even
when the temptation not to is so strong. Amen.
See you in Church
Sunday,
Pastor
Sandy
