Children start back to school.  People who don’t even have children start “getting back into the swing of things” in     September.  That includes church and Sunday  School. Have you ever invited someone to come to church with you?  Most of have, and been turned down.  Don’t worry about it.  It’s not you they rejected; it was the one who sent you.  Invite them    anyway. You have probably heard someone say they don’t want to be in the “habit” of going to church.  When they say that, they are really saying they are in the habit of not going to church.  Yes, going to church can be habit forming.  Not going to church is a much worse habit to be in. There are plenty of alternatives to going to church on Sunday now days.  There are also plenty of alternatives on where to go to church.  Personally, I think we are the best alternative, don’t you?  If you believe there is a better choice, take it instead.  If you are here because you think we are the best choice, then (1) continue to come each Sunday you are able, and (2) share us with your friends and family.  Wouldn’t they want the best choice too? We are in a unique position of having two different locations, times of services, and styles of service.  Take your pick:  Marietta at 9:00 or Parkersburg at 10:45.  We are ready for both the “let’s get it over early so we can do other things on Sunday” group and the group that wants to sleep later on Sunday.  Both offer Sunday School (9:30 in Parkersburg and 10:15 in Marietta).  You do get the same sermon in both locations, however.  If someone can’t come with you, tell them about the other one too.  God will use us to reach others for Christ, if we do our part first.   See You in Church Sunday,  Pastor Sandy
